What a year…

This year has been incredible and I have many people to thank for that. Bare with me while I give credit where credit is due.

To all the Bon Bons – thank you for your love, support, joy, humor, insight and constant hugs.

To Eloisa – thanks for planting the seed that sprouted this lovely group and giving us all a safe place to fall.

To the Vagabonds/Vanettes – you are the best foundation an aspiring and often struggling writer could find. Thank you for sharing, caring, aiding and abetting. *g*

To my fellow Pirates – though we’ve only been together a short time, I feel as if I’ve found yet another family to push me on and hold me up. May the waters be calm and the contracts be plenty. And here’s to throwing the rockingest party on this ship when we’ve all got books on the shelves!

To all my other wonderful virtual world friends and even those few I’ve managed to meet in the real world, thank you for your patience and letting me be even a small part of your lives. I know my life is better for knowing you.

I start 2008 with a salute to you all, a new look and stronger convictions. If the new year is even half as good as the last one, it’s going to be an exciting ride. I can’t think of better people to share it with.

What was the best part of 2007 for you? Did you achieve a dream or take steps to get closer to one? Or are you just happy to have survived another 365 days?

Love the new digs…and narcissistically I love that I would qualify as a Bon-Bon, a Vagabond, and a Pirate. Woohoo!

I love the Wittier than Me section, but want to know why Yo Ho is not on that list.

I love the new digs, too. Can only claim membership to Bon-Bons and Vagabonds.

Thankful for the same things mostly… but seriously, who’s not thankful for Richard Armitage and North and South? *g*

Glad y’all like what I’ve done with the place. I’m on some new gold/burnt orange kind of kick. This blog now officially matches my bedroom. LOL!

I am sorry to report that I DID NOT get North & South for Christmas as I requested. I think I’m going to hunt it down and maybe spend my NYE watching it at home. *g*

On the old layout, I had Yo Ho at the very top of the blog and it stayed there. I didn’t realize that it moved to the bottom. LOL! I’ll get right on that.

I’m thankful that you’re in my life too Terri. I seriously don’t know how I would have survived my hectic crazy year.

  5. Oh! I like the new look much better. Nice, clean and juicy orange! Isn’t it fun to play around?

I think the best part of this year was writing with slightly more discipline and finding a group of like-minded people to help keep me on track.

Plus Juliette and Sadie of course.:) Really, I’m too blessed for my own good. Doom must be right around the corner.

Di – *snuggles* right back at you. You are a walking bundle of joy and you got through because you’re strong. I had nothing to do with it. *g*

Maggie – only you could end such a sweet comment with impending doom. LOL! You are lucky to have that wonderful family but they are only wonderful because they have you. And now the rest of us are lucky to have you too.

  7. It’s been a fantastic year filled with new friends and lots of stories!
    Happy New Year, Terri!

I like the new look as well Terri…very professional.
Interacting with such a fabulous bunch of American sirens always lifts my spirits!

As for achievements…I haven’t solved it yet…but this could be the year of the break through!

*raises a glass of rum.* CHEERS, YO HO and your good health Everyone!

The new look is terrific, Terri!

I am angry with myself today because I did not reach several of my goals for 2007, and in each case I know that had I been more disciplined, I could be celebrating without ambivalence today. On the other hand, I have been blessed this year with health, abundant days of happiness, the love and support of family and friends, and stacks of good books (including many free ones), so 2007 has been a good year.

  10. terrio says:

Thank you, Janga. I seem to be typing those words a lot. LOL!

It’s all about perspective. If you reached every goal you set, then you’d have nothing left for 2008. Or you’d feel the need to top 2007 and 2008 would just be pressure, pressure, pressure. Who need that?! *g*

I survived, that is about all I can say. I kept on waiting for something else to happen, not quite believing I was going to make it to 2008. I cut out a Maxine cartoon and put it on my desk at work – it pretty much sums up 2007 for me “If you wake up breathing Congratulations, you have another chance” Here’s hoping that 2008 is a much better year.

  12. terrio says:

Oh, Beth, I bet you are extremely relieved to have this year over. But the good thing is, we got to see each other a couple of times in a years time. That’s a good thing!

Here’s to 2008 being one of joy and laughter. You deserve it more than anyone I know.

Wow! I love coming to visit and finding you’ve re-decorated! Lovely, just lovely.

2007 was a good year. I’m at a really good place in my life and for once I’m not going to analyze or question it. I think I’m just going to sit back and enjoy it for now. Oh, and be grateful.

Thank you also to all my cyber-friends. You’ve all definitely added joy and friendship to my life over this past year. The encouragement, support and pure talent I witness day after day is an inspiration. I wish you all prosperity and happiness in 2008!
